The American Express Openair Cinema returns to Adelaide this spring with a program of film, food and booze. After its inaugural event held on the green at Glenelg Beach earlier this year, it’ll shift to the Torrens Riverbank this month.

Beaming onto the screen will be a mix of new releases – including A Star is Born, Beautiful Boy, Boy Erased, Bohemian Rhapsody and First Man – alongside festive-season favourites Love Actually and Elf and more.

The Chimichurri truck will be offering Argentinian street food, and supplying South Australian moviegoers with saucy South American meats and loaded fries. Finish with scoops of Haagen-Dazs ice-cream.

Refreshments include 4 Pines beer, Giesen wines and Pimm’s on tap. Tasmania’s Black Devil Cider will be available, too.

There will be live music and DJs playing on the banks of the river before and after the screenings. Guests can also board barbeque-equipped boats to grill their dinner before the film thanks to BBQ Buoys.

All screenings are canine friendly so bring the pup along.
