Dancing will finally be permitted in Adelaide venues again – under certain provisos, Premier Steven Marshall announced in a press conference today.

From 12.01am Friday, people will be able to dance and drink in venues with fewer than 200 people. In venues with 200 to 1000 people, dancing will be permitted on a “designated” dancefloor only – for up to 50 people. Patrons are still required to use QR codes and follow social distancing rules.

Venues with more than 1,000 people will still be subject to a dedicated Covid management plan.

The premier also announced changes to travel from Greater Melbourne into South Australia – from 12.01am Friday, people entering SA will no longer have to isolate or get tested.

More to come.
