Construction has begun on Adelaide’s first “nature-based” aerial adventure park.

Situated on the corner of Greenhill and Unley roads next to the BMX track, TreeClimb will feature six elevated tree-walk courses and several zip lines within a 16,000-square-metre zone.

The sky-high adventure park – from the team behind indoor trampoline park Bounce – will open in spring following a three-month build. It will be open to the public daily, with groups of up to 20 climbers harnessed, secured and ready to go every 20 minutes.

“TreeClimb will give city dwellers and South Australians alike a chance to look at Adelaide through a different lens, and really immerse themselves in the organic density of the parklands,” general manager Danni Robson said in a press release.

“For our international and interstate visitors, it’s a unique and fun bird’s-eye view of South Australia’s capital, and the perfect way to genuinely appreciate the beauty of our tree-scaped city.”

French high ropes construction company ALTUS International has been engaged to design and construct the various course challenges and zip lines. It has created more than 150 courses worldwide.
