An 18-storey hotel with a lap pool and rooftop bar and restaurant offering panoramic views of the city is coming to Adelaide’s East End.
The TFE Hotels group, which owns the Adina Apartment Hotels and the Vibe Savoy Hotel in Melbourne among others, will open Adelaide’s first Vibe Hotel on Flinders Street in 2020.
It’s expected to be an eye-catching structure. Multi-award-winning firm Loucas Zahos Architects was tapped for the design, which will feature an intricate “sculptural” facade.
The glass-fronted building will contain 118 spacious rooms featuring cantilevered bathrooms with full-height windows to take in views to the north and south. There will also be an open-plan ground floor restaurant and bar and a gym.
That aforementioned pool will run along a pedestrian bridge that connects Vibe to the One apartments, “providing guests with the ability to swim between buildings”, says principal architect and director Con Zahos.
“They’ll have access to a pool deck with spa and sauna, and a plaza that also serves neighbouring apartments.”
Vibe Hotel is expected to open on Flinders Street in 2020.
