Homegrown pride runs deep with Tom and Ben Rodger. The brothers grew up on a rural property in McLaren Vale where their parents still run sheep and tend vineyards. From a young age they watched and helped their parents, in turn developing a passion for fresh, locally sourced produce that they’ve injected into The Seller Door.
The cafe and marketplace works in partnership with a community of South Australian sellers. The shelves are filled with Adelaide Hills cheese, Etikette hand-poured soy candles and locally made wine and spirits. A pantry room with a tasting space has been curated to provide a launch pad for small batch producers, giving them the chance to tell unique stories from specific regions across the state.
The cafe’s beans come from Mahalia Coffee, a family-run roasting house in Robe. Try a coffee alongside one of the many raw vegan sweets from Adelaide-based Sweet Nectar Desserts.
