Features
Inspired by Melbourne's sandwich-deli explosion, Jet Dang and Justin Kien set out to fill the gap in the local scene by filling deli-style sangas with Vietnamese flavours. Munch Deli is the result, and the menu here speaks to the duo’s hospo backgrounds and Vietnamese heritage.
Most popular is the Pho-nomenal, bursting with brisket and Asian herbs. The mortadella-packed Morgician sees cold cuts paired with Viet-inspired pesto, whipped ricotta, tomato and rocket. Munch also does toasties, including a gooey four-cheese number.
Inside the hole-in-the-wall space is bar-style seating, while outside there are extra tables and plush cushions atop milk crates to sip a Vietnamese iced coffee and munch your lunch at.
