Features
Fourth Hill Providore is a charming eatery set in a renovated barn, directly opposite sibling pub, Stanley Bridge Tavern, on the main drag in Verdun.
The space welcomes diners with the scent of warm bread and streams of light flowing through its large windows. The renovated stone building is a mix of modern and rustic (chopping boards hang on fresh white walls; timber and stone contrast with concrete floors), and pops of colour are provided by rows of local produce and pantry goods.
The place is often filled with locals looking for a coffee and croissant on their morning commute, or a cosy place to catch up with friends and family. In addition to its daily operations, Fourth Hill Providore also doubles as a function space in the evenings.
On the breakfast menu: perhaps a gooey omelette with spinach, provolone and bacon; or a comforting serve of house baked beans with a baked egg and focaccia. For lunch, expect generously filled panini, daily changing pastas, and Roman-style focaccia pizza by the slice.
