Named after the 1989 film of the same name, the Fabulous Baker Boys is one of north Adelaide’s worst-kept secrets. Part bakery, part cafe, Bronwen and Paul Dittmar opened the business in 1996, and expanded in 2020 to keep up with its growing destination status. These days it has ample indoor and outdoor seating, plus a full breakfast menu backed up by coffees and smoothies to meet the increased demand.

In the pastry cabinet you’ll find classic Australian staples – pies, pasties, vanilla slices and chocolate-covered doughnuts. The breakfast menu offers bacon and eggs, pancakes, brekkie burgers and a popular two-for-one big breakfast special. Various fresh sandwiches, rolls (single and double cut), and sweet potato fries round out the lunch offering.
