Collaborative spirit and a splash of booze is part of the offering at co-working space DEW (Drink Eat Work). It’s more than just a bunch of desks and a decent wi-fi connection.

The bar, cafe and downstairs photographic studio were set up by Elisa Mercurio and her partner Juan Londono in 2016. They wanted to provide freelancers a place to “just be”. With help from Renew Adelaide and landlord Flightpath Architects, they’ve nailed it.

The pair spotted a gap in the co-working landscape after living in Sydney. But they found most of them stiff and boring. DEW is made for people who don’t mind a bit of noise, and maybe a wine at 2pm.

Eleven hot desks are available, for just the day or $220 per month. Drop-ins can enjoy a drink on the pavement seating or chill out at the bar and cafe.

The wine list stretches from South Australia to South America and ranges from affordable to premium. The coffee changes every two weeks, and includes DEW’s own blends.

Raw food (bliss balls and cakes) are provided by Raw Earth Co. and accompanied by smoothies, juices, and teas from Hygge Organic.

A mural by artist Lisa King and foliage-packed planters by Emma Sadie Thomson add colour to the otherwise industrial space.
