Features
Cha-no-wa, meaning “the circle of tea” in Japanese, is a beloved matcha brand from Hiroshima. Its first Australian store, brings premium Japanese desserts and drinks to Adelaide, thanks to chef Charlie Lu (ex- Muni and Hardy’s Verandah). Sourcing its high-grade matcha from Uji, Kyoto, Cha-no-wa is known for its smooth, umami-rich flavour, expertly blended by matcha master Haruhide Morita.
Try a smooth matcha sundae, made with matcha jelly, soft serve, mochi, red bean paste and matcha syrup. There’s also the matcha float topped with matcha gelato and mochi balls.
As with the tea, all the cakes, cookies and snacks available are imported from Japan. Get crispy rolled matcha cookies, matcha milk manju, and the decadent matcha gateau chocolate cake.
