Features
Bloom is an indoor-outdoor eatery and events space from the team behind CBD cafe Peter Rabbit, set within a former tram barn overlooking the River Torrens and the surrounding ghost gums.
The large, dome-shaped hearth that anchors the indoor dining space isn’t just for show – the entire menu has been designed with fire in mind. The team sources its produce from local suppliers such as Urban Growboi and Westside Mushies, as well as incorporating foraged ingredients, house ferments and pickles across dishes that celebrate Adelaide’s cultural diversity.
At breakfast, woodfired quinces are added to oat porridge with rosemary and passionfruit; and flaky croissants are stuffed with pork sausage, scrambled eggs, Japanese curry mayo and iceberg lettuce.
Plates at lunchtime might include fire-toasted baguettes with porchetta or fried haloumi. And mapo tofu dumplings in mushroom broth with udon noodles, charred corn and Asian greens.
Even the cocktails catch a lick of fire, such as the smoked tomato Bloody Marys and Bellinis with plum and burnt sage. They’re backed up by an Adelaide-heavy range of beers, plus a wine list that spans local and international vineyards.
