Craving a Snickers but sworn off sugar? At Bliss Organic Cafe, sneaky treats such as caramel slice and lemon tart are reinvented with raw, vegan and organic ingredients. Owner Ray Wang believes the cafe’s creations are the closest you’ll find to the real thing.

Signature dishes include the tofu scramble, packed with vegetables, herbs and seeds; and best-selling Bliss Burger, resembling a rainbow between two slices of Turkish pide.

There’s also a colourful lineup of superfood smoothies, raw juices and herbal tonics. The Yumm Board changes daily with a selection of soups, stews, dumplings and curries.

Bliss also sells organic, vegan-friendly and fair trade products, its shelves stacked high with household products, groceries, pet food, supplements and cosmetics.

Books containing everything you need to know about vegan eating and raw food recipes are also available, and while you’re there, be sure to check out the secret garden, serving as a sun-dappled haven just a minute’s walk from the very centre of the CBD.
