Features
The familiar comfort of a grandparent, the polished design of a small bar and the excitement of a pub all roll into one at Peel Street’s Alfred’s Bar. The casual and welcoming space is inspired by owner Scott Quick’s grandfather, Alfred; a warm character who enjoyed brewing beer at home and entertaining the locals.
Working with Matiya Marovic of SansArc studios (Pink Moon Saloon, Whistle & Flute, BRKLYN), Quick transformed the small space, which once housed BarBushka, demolishing most of its second story. It features a dart board upstairs and a large brass “time to go” bell downstairs.
You wont find any airs and graces here. Quick aims to provide a familiar and comfortable experience. Tap beers include recognisable brands such as Coopers, Heineken and James Squire. More premium products are available on the back bar.
