Cult-favourite Pilates and yoga studio, Core Plus, is known for low-impact, high-yield workouts which combine yoga, weight training and Pilates. Founded in Melbourne by Amy and Mike King a decade ago, the studio has expanded to 30 studios across Victoria and Queensland.
Tomorrow they’re expanding into South Australia, opening the 31st studio in Glenelg. At the helm of the Glenelg studio are partners Matt Howden and Rochelle Seneviratna. Seneviratna is a native Melburnian who was shocked to find there were no Core Plus studios in South Australia when she moved to the state a few years ago. Her solution? To open one herself.
The South Australian studio will offer a dynamic line-up of classes. Expect three variants of infrared heated mat Pilates classes – hot mat Pilates, hot strength and hot strength cardio – and four reformer Pilates classes including and pre- and post-natal courses. In terms of yoga, there are hot yoga flow, warm slow flow and warm yin classes.
