Literally wedged into a long narrow space on Cowper Street, Wedge is revolutionising Glebe’s coffee scene. There’s cold drip, Elixir Specialty Coffee and a love and attention to detail in every brew and cup.

Heading up an all-girls staff, owner Cat Guerra really knows how to take an otherwise unpromising, long, narrow space and make it inviting. Huge windows fold open down one side, making for a great street-view bench, while raw brick and polished concrete keep the inside cool.

Co-barista Courtney Carter is also on call and the staff converse with regulars and locals as they walk through the door, checking coffee orders and suggesting food options, be it their Brekkie Salad: grilled autumn greens, multi grain free range egg, prosciutto and ricotta with pepita & basil dressing and toasted sourdough or the fig and walnut and loaf with fresh ricotta and apricot & almond jam, or even some Grumpy Donuts.

They have also just introduced Pumpkin with Dukkah soup to the menu, in an effort to warm up the chilly during the Winter season.
