+Estate of Mind could easily be mistaken for an art gallery with its edgy, contemporary shopfront. It’s a dynamic that is further emphasised once you set foot in the Oxford Street store. But its minimalist design ensures the focus is on the clothing – as it should be. The collections are quirky and distinctive, with each piece making a bold statement.

‘A little eccentric, a little insane, a little edgy, a little unconventional’: the shop slogan sums up exactly what this boutique is about. +Estate of Mind supports and showcases independent designers constructing refreshingly raw, limited-edition pieces that marry art and fashion. Housing a small selection of Sydney labels including Ashleigh Taylor, Love & Luck and Charlotte O’Carrigan, +Estate of Mind is an example of an Australian retailer supporting genuine up-and-coming designers.

In addition to plenty of new stock from their oldest stockists KTZ, Proudrace, Lazy Oaf and OS Accessories, they've also picked up some new labels, including Underground Shoes from the UK for badass creepers and platforms, as well as gear from Di$count Universe who are based in Melbourne.

It may not always be to your taste, but it is here that you will find labels pushing the boundaries and setting the benchmark for innovation in the Australian fashion market.
