20th June 2012

Prestigious Sydney gallery Sarah Cottier is shifting to new digs.

F

rom its humble beginnings in Newtown's Lennox Street, before a stint in Redfern’s Elizabeth Street and a move to Neild Avenue in Paddington during 2006, Sarah Cottier Gallery is moving once again, this time to larger premises on the corner of Roylston Street and Hampden Street in Paddington.

Established in 1993, the gallery exhibits Australian and international contemporary art and represents some of Australia’s leading early and mid-career practitioners, including revered minimalist John Nixon, John Nicholson, Simon Barney, Moya McKenna, Matt Hinkley, John Spiteri and Christopher Hanrahan among countless others.

The final show in Sarah Cottier’s current location will come in the form of Brisbane installation artist Sandra Selig’s Enough, which runs from June 21 – complete with a special opening to farewell the Neild Avenue space – through to July 14. The gallery will aim to open its new space in late 2012.
