The cheekily named new rooftop bar in Fitzroy isn’t about getting your gear off, but rather immersing yourself in a rarely utilised aspect of Fitzroy, the rooftops.

Above Brunswick Street’s pintxos bar, Naked for Satan, Naked in the Sky embraces a menu of Basque flavours such as Txistorra rolls (Basque pork meat wrapped in pastry) or battered green pimientos stuffed with crab.

The drinks list is a fiesta of local, Spanish and Basque beers, wines, Cava and other bubbles, and the room is cleverly divided into a bar area and dining room, an inside and outside with warm wooden finishes and bare brick walls. It’s popular, so be prepared to queue or get there early, especially in the summer months. But it's worth it, if for nothing else than Fitzroy's best city views.
