Wabi Sabi Garden Restaurant is the slightly more sophisticated sister of Wabi Sabi Salon in Collingwood.
With a traditional Japanese-style courtyard and friendly Japanese staff, Wabi Sabi dishes up the sort of meal you would find on holiday in Japan.
The food is brimming with authentic favourites and features a generous menu catering for seafood lovers, meat lovers and vegetarians alike.
The Japanese chefs and recommend you order a few dishes to share as it’s ‘the Japanese way’ (and it’s more fun). Head there for lunch and sample a selection of their famous sushi rolls, a pork belly sandwich or a wagyu meatball wrap with red miso sauce and hot chips. All the old Japanese favourites are there, with sashimi, bento boxes, noodle dishes and vegetable tempura also on the menu.
For dinner, there’s oyster tempura with white asparagus sauce and saucy lobster on crispy bread. If you’re hungry or feeling a little lazy, let the chefs take care of you with a selection of courses sure to send you rolling home.
There’s also an impressive array of ciders, beers, spirits and wine, but if you want to stay true to Tokyo style, sip on sake or plum wine.
