Down a city Lane off Little Collins Street, Sarti is a restaurant that is built around a large bar in the centre. Designed by Chris Connell, this Italian dining spot place is far more than the bar. Chef Ricardo Momesso is in the kitchen, producing signature rustic Italian dishes since he became business partner with co-owner Joe Mammone in 2007.

Momesso’s food is very much founded on the Italian heritage of the owners combined with his creative energies which has seen him build his menu around stuzzichini (small Italian appetizers to share) to start with and move through pastas and risotti to main courses that reflect his love of provenance and hunting; there is a wild harvested game dish on the menu (available when in season).

Sarti is a fashionable room but doesn’t give in to trends. It very much carries its own identity, catering for a savvy inner city audience of corporates and creatives alike.
