A French bistro from the culinary master, Monsier Philippe Mouchel. PM24, is the creme de la creme of French dining.

Philippe Mouchel, the highly regarded French chef who came to Melbourne as Executive Chef of Paul Bocuse in the Daimaru complex back in the mid-90s and has run the kitchens of Langton’s and most recently, The Brasserie by Philippe Mouchel at Crown.

PM24 is his latest adventure with The Press Club Group.

Chef Mouchel is focusing on what he does best - a modern interpretation of classical French technique - incorporating flavours and styles from his many years of working abroad, particularly in Japan and his solid French training. His flavours are light, seasonally aware and contemporary.

A highlight of the menu is the rotisserie of the day, which may be chicken, lamb or suckling pig that has been spit-roasted to bring out the flavours of the meat and while there are also beef dishes, seafood and offal, Mouchel plays with seasonal vegetables in dishes such as white and green asparagus or zucchini flower crab fritters, although we’re dying to try the scallop carpaccio with bottarga and yuzu mayonnaise.

The modern French Bistro just got a new lease of life in Melbourne.
