Raymond Capaldi's Hare & Grace is a space rich with earthy, tactile finishes. Innovative interior designs, by Joost Baker, include smoke bush hanging from the ceilings and wall sketches by Barry Drinan decorating the main dining rooms.
But design aside, the "market driven" seasonal menu speaks for itself; chilled king prawns with leek and romanesco hazelnuts or roasted salmon with courgette and blueberries. There are dishes to share as well, and the Mini Bar, located at the front of house, has the smaller plates covered; Ortiz anchovies and artichokes in oil or an immediately comforting taster of mac 'n' cheese croquettes.
Hare & Grace has a healthy mix of urban awareness and professionalism that is a great combination for the city worker and dweller. It is simply prepared food, done with an edge and style.
