You don’t have to be as enthusiastic about tapas as the Spanish were about winning the World Cup, but an appetite for full flavours are a prerequisite for eating at this cosy cafe.

It is contemporary dining with an old-world twist at Dino's, and it's far from what you expect of a deli. The vintage décor and display of wine bottles is reminiscent of a European bistro, and the faux library in the centre of the restaurant adds a relaxed element of sophistication to the atmosphere.

Although many of the dishes on the menu contain ingredients that stay true to their Spanish mother tongue, the staff are preeminent in explaining any questions you might have.

Whether you go for a small tapas dish - like the kingfish ceviche with pomegranate and Campari or the eggplant bravas with romesco aioli - or a larger meal of pasta (try the rigatoni veal ragu with truffled pecorino), cutlets or curly calamari, there will be something here to hit the spot.

Dino’s menu may fit on to one single page but it is large and solid, and contains dishes designed to cater for those who enjoy a hearty European meal.
