The executive chef at Albert Street Food and Wine is renowned international pastry guru Philippa Sibley (Michelin-guide two-star Harvey’s in London and France’s Michelin three star La Côte Saint Jacques) and as such, you can expect a range of gourmet delights like spatchcock quail or the Albert St Speciale Pizza (roasted peppers, pork and fennel sausage, smoked mozzarella). Sibley’s sweet specialties feature items like Amoretti semi-fredo, roasted apricots, truffled honey panna cotta, candied cashews and the cherry clafoutif pistachio ice cream.

Albert St Food & Wine’s founders (and managers) Stuart Brookshaw and Ruth Giffney also bring a wealth of experience to the mix. An inclusive wine list compiled by Brookshaw, features reds and whites sourced from Italy (Alto Adige), France (Loire Valley), Spain and some local Australian favourites. A range of local craft beers are also on offer as well as international brews including Moritz Lager from Spain and the American drop, Sierra Nevada.

Meanwhile, the food store on the other side of the bar stocks all the good gear. Rummage through Great Southern organic truffle oil, 5 Senses coffee beans, Le Rustique Camembert from France and Fudge by Rich. Or try Michel's products and Harris Smokehouse salmon.
