Eating at Spoonful is probably as close as one can get to enjoying a wholesome home cooked meal, without actually being at home. You see, the feeling you get here is that the food is prepared with love, and is served in a setting that most would happily move into.

The long center table is always dressed with flowers and is the perfect spot to peruse the day’s papers. For long, lazy breakfasts and brunches, go for a seat against one of the walls where nice fat pillows will surround you. The menu is always different, reflecting what is fresh and available that day.

Spoonful has mastered that balance of sophistication, rustic ambiance, tasty and exciting food, without being overdone. Unsurprisingly, it has become a favourite lunch spot for many Melburnians, as well as a popular catering business.

Next door sits Teaspoon, Spoonful’s open-store cupboard where one can buy take-home dinners, baguettes, and small treats. From kitchenware to cooking ingredients and essentials, Teaspoon will have your eyes excitedly darting in all directions while you wait for your take-away coffee.
