A clear chip off the Spoonful block, Sardine offers unfussy food. With an increasing amount of loyal regulars there for some breakfast or lunch after a spot of shopping, the small space serves big bowls of coffee and simple things like toast with jam, and wholesome baguettes and salads. Predominantly a daytime cafe, Sardine also stays open late on Thursdays and Fridays for after-work drinks and snacks like devilled eggs.

Beneath the bright yellow veranda posts at one of Sardine’s orange tin tables is the perfect place to escape the bustle of High Street and simply watch the passers-by weaving in and out of the colourful surrounding Morey Street shops.
