Lowlands, specialist coffee and teahouse has made itself a home where café El Joyero once stood. Oliver Mackay and Chrissie Trabucco transformed the space into a crisp light-filled space with seating inside or out with a luminous courtyard.

Mackay and Trabucco, the coffee connoisseurs they are implement six distinctive brewing methods on the Lowlands machine. Choose from espresso, French press, siphon, pour over, aeropress or cold drop. All methods provide customers with single origin coffees that are sources from Small Batch Roasters.

Lowlands also offers a sophisticated tea range with their chai using green cardamom and their Oolong woody with earthy orchid fragrance.

Their breakfast menu is quite inspired. Try the Shirred eggs served with asparagus, cumin yoghurt, coriander and fried pumpkin or the Triple Layered ‘Cracker’ Sandwich which is stuffed with banana, pistachio custard and house jam. For the more traditional opt for the fig and apricot loaf with homemade lemon curd. For lunch try the pressed roti with whiskey tomatoes, provolone and pancetta.
