Add some sunny yellow awnings to the existing building, rip out a few walls and inject a bit of Jason Jones’ signature jazz style (iconic of his other cafes Porgie & Mr Jones and Snow Pony) and you’ve got a cafe fit for a seriously enjoyable breakfast and lunch.
Being an all-day-everyday affair here at Friends of Mine, breakfast is characterised by smashed avocado and golden folded scrambles, fancy pick.me.up.please toasted bacon and egg bap rolls or baguettes and piadini. Seasonal lunch might be Pork trotter and potato croquettes with grain mustard piccalilli or Wagyu beef braseola with wild rocket, heirloom tomato and aged balsamic. Breads are Noisette, eggs are Green and happy and the salmon is Tom Coopers – all reflecting Jones’ penchant for top quality suppliers.
Whatever your choice, Friends of Mine always hold their arms wide open to new comers.
