This place is all about the coffee. But gone is the folksy vibe, soft decor and industrial chic that we see in other prominent Melbourne specialty coffee houses, this is not a ‘communal table’ sort of cafe.
Aside from the Padre house blend, Crue also offer a daily selection of single origin coffees. They are experimenting with a mature roast, putting it through their Synesso in a higher dose and a slightly lower temperature of 93 degrees. The result is worth a try in a short format coffee, something the Padre blends seem particularly well suited to. Food-wise the menu is replete with typical cafe fare but this place is really about the coffee.
