Joining what is fast becoming a well-staggered selection of cafes on High Street, Thornbury, this small but welcoming space has an infectiously upbeat personality.

Owners Malia and Jess, chef Sam and front room boys Joe and Jon make up the core team. Together, they all contribute to the experience of this light-hearted cafe, working with a smile and on occasion singing and dancing around the place too.

It’s a relaxed venue with a breakfast menu to match. You won’t find anything too obscure or challenging here – just some simple, homemade choices that strike a nice balance between basic and something a little more fancy.

Jess brings hints of her Lebanese background to inform the popular Pesto Poached Eggs (poached eggs with roast tomatoes, grilled haloumi and dressed roquette, topped with za'atar), whilst Malia's heartier approach offers simpler options such as the B.L.A.T. or Breakfast Roll (ciabatta roll filled with homemade basil mayo, homemade tomato relish, a fluffy omelette and spiced spinach/bacon).

Save for the bread, everything here is made on-site, including baked goods such as muffins, cakes and biscuits. Organic bread, free-range eggs and Jonsey's milk are also available to buy, extending a growing in-store shop that supplies a few convenience items to take home with your morning coffee.
