This addition to the city’s growing list of small community bars offering exceptional fare. Small but open, there is comfort to be found on your own or in a small group for civilised chat and an escape from High street dining and drinking. By combining the concept of casual service and setting with high end drinking and dining, this is truly a unique and inviting space. The drinks offering involves a short list of cocktails, a tidy back bar with a disproportionately large supply of Scotch Whiskey and a promise to make any classic that your heart desires. For wines, the list is considered and red and whites appear in order to complement the food offering.

The kitchen supplies ample meals or those perfect snacks when a full meal is too much. The real drawcard is the way that food and drink have been seamlessly intertwined, in a literal sense. The bar hosts a deli cabinet front and centre and offers an array of charcuterie and cheeses. If you’re just in for a pre or post snack and cheeky digestif the set up is perfect. Try out the house made gnocchi or terrine if you’re feeling like a more substantial offering.

In total, this place is perfect. For the locals, it will come to feel like a good friends lounge room and those that travel from further afield will despise the fact that they’re so far away.
