Together with Bank of Melbourne, we’ve created a pocket-sized guide to Fitzroy. Uncover some local favourites and play to win the ultimate day for two in this charming quarter.

T

he heart of Melbourne’s inner northern suburbs, Fitzroy is a cultural landmark bursting with character. Housing a largely creative and alternative community, this quarter features some of the city’s best music and arts destinations.

But perhaps Fitzroy’s most inviting feature is its array of relaxing, personable venues, which cater to a variety tastes and sensibilities. Take a stroll through this leafy suburb and you’ll find world-class bars in The Everleigh and Black Pearl, relaxed cafes such as include De Clieu and Slowpoke, or for something a little more decadent, there’s always Andrew McConnell’s Cutler & Co. or Moon Under Water.

Fashion and culture are both well represented too. For contemporary art viewing, don’t go past the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) or Gertrude Contemporary, and if you’d like peruse the shops and make some additions to your wardrobe, be sure to check out Handsom.

With all this in mind, the Fitzroy Quarters competition has just opened and we’ve picked out some activities that are perfect to fill the remainder of your summer days.

For your chance to win the ultimate day for two, simply visit Bank of Melbourne’s The Quarters website, watch the videos and play the Fitzroy Quarter. Our day includes:

9am breakfast at De Clieu
11am gallery tour of CCP
1pm lunch at Brother Burger
3.30pm shopping at Ganim Store
7pm dinner at Belle's Diner
