Queen Victoria Night Market Season Begins
The Queen Victoria Night Market will soon be open every Wednesday night until March. A s the temperature gets warmer and the days get longer, there seems to be more to do after clocking off for the day. Christmas is hovering on the horizon and that unavoidable yearly chore that most evade and few enjoy - Christmas shopping.
Wednesday 17th November marks the beginning of the Suzuki Night Market Season. Running every Wednesday until March, 2011, the Night Market brings life to the Queen Victoria Markets after hours. Boasting over 200 weekly changing stalls, you’ll find clothing, antiques, prints, plants, jewellery and a vast array of international cuisine on offer. If it all becoming a bit too much after a long day at the office, there are four fully licensed bars providing liquid support and a select range from regional Victorian wineries. Rounded out with scheduled live acts, the Suzuki Night Markets provide a much needed companion to the mid week blues. If you’re a dweller of the North and the Queen Vic Markets aren’t quite for you, all through November you’ll be able to head down to the Coburg Night Market. Running every Friday night at Coburg’s Bridges Road Reserve, you can pick yourself up some local design and artisan goods and enjoy a wide range of multi cultural cuisine from street vendors, all cooked and prepared on site.
