MadCap Cafe Opens

Some of Melbourne’s most notable chefs have joined forces in support of the launch of MadCap's second cafe.

ome of Melbourne’s most notable chefs have joined forces in support of the launch of MadCap's second cafe. George Columbaris (The Press Club), Greg Malouf (MoMo), Rita Micali (Supermaxi) and Matteo Pignatelli (Matteo’s), have come together to align themselves with a concept that encourages the employment of people with 'mental illness’. More positively known as ‘mental ill-health', MapCap - run by ERMHA Inc. (Eastern Regions Mental Health Association) - attempts to create an awareness, at a grassroots level, about a condition that affects one in five adults.

MadCap at Westfield Shopping Centre in Fountain Gate opened last week supported by store ambassadors Raymond Capaldi (ex-Fenix) and Australian of the year Patrick McGorry. It has been a success right from the beginning for MadCap, selling a weeks worth of cakes in their first day.
