South of the river macaron experts LuxBite don’t want any presents for their birthday – they’re giving them to you.

F

or the past year, Bernard Chu and Yen Yee – owners and chefs of Toorak Road’s LuxBite – have been winning the hearts of South Yarra locals with their macarons, desserts and savoury fare. Fuelling Melbourne’s macaron mania with unconventional flavours like Ribena lemonade, rose and lychee, and bamboo oolong tea and pandan, the two have garnered quite the reputation.

To celebrate their first birthday, LuxBite is implementing a no-gifts policy and instead spoiling their customers. On Tuesday December 6, they’ll be offering 50 per cent off all purchases, all day or until they sell out. On the same day, a brand new breakfast menu will be introduced, leaving all the decisions to you. From a long list of choices, you can pick and mix proteins, vegies, sauces, essential carbs and sweets (perhaps not all at once) to create the ideal breakfast. Each item is $2.50, so breakfast no longer has to break the bank.
