Pierre Roelofs arrives at Rosamond

A

fter the short lived dessert restaurant Monsieur Truffe last year, it’s been hard to track down dessert master Pierre Roelofs.

There is good news though, the visionary pastry chef is back; this time at the delightfully downplayed Rosamond in Fitzroy.

From April 22nd Roelofs will be offering Thursday night ‘dessert only’ dining in the cosy and intimate surrounds of the tiny little cafe off Smith Street. With options ranging from one-three courses, the dessert menu will be changing regularly providing plenty of room for Roelofs to flex his creative flair for sweets. And with credits to his name including Head Pastry Chef at Interlude, not to mention international acclaim for his desserts, we can’t wait to see what the superlative sweet-master will come up with.

At the time of writing, a liquor licence is still pending (a problem that plagued the Truffe venture last year), but the future looks sweet and there’s always the possibility of extending the dessert evening option to include other nights.

What: Desserts Only Evenings with Pierre Roelofs
When: Every Thursday evening from April 22nd 2010, 7pm-11pm
Where: Rosamond, 191 Smith Street, Fitzroy
