Lost and Found Market has long been regarded as Fitzroy's vintage shopping mecca. Borne out of a now defunct club, owner Ross Hines started his business in 2006, then focusing mainly on vintage furniture and later filling the space with practically anything and everything. The business quickly took off, eventually moving to its present location at end of Smith Street.

Within the three-level market, visitors can find not just clothing, shoes and records, but also cupboards and shelves filled with titbits the likes of Smurf figurines and Lady Di plates. Meanwhile, the basement level boasts a massive collection of vintage collection.

The items in this treasure trove of vintage items are sourced from many sellers, who set up a stall each at the market to sell their wares. Because of this, each stall usually has its own individual look and feel. Like snowflakes, it is guaranteed no two items in the market are alike.
