Any man who wears shoes should get down to Beggar Man Thief, a store selling some of the best shoes available in Melbourne. Owners Marc Godfrey and Scott Lewis have created a space and experience that is friendly and knowledgeable, without the intimidation factor that can come with serious shopping. Godfrey and Lewis really do want you in a product that lasts forever – there’s no dong and dance about it, they simply provide footwear with a smile and probably a story too.

With help like this, the store is perfect for the new and experienced alike and the product selection is both amazing and unique. Beggar Man Thief has picked up short run exclusives from established shoe makers like Grenson, Sebago and New Balance, selecting shapes and cuts with the Australian man in mind. These sit along side other bits and pieces reflecting the Beggar Man Thief philosophy, including hats, books and an extensive range of sunglasses with a focus on cool and happy not hip and ‘in-fashion’.
