Yeojin Bae pops up for the first time in Melbourne to escort us to the glittering streets of Paris.

W

ith a timeless aesthetic and painstakingly flawless technique, Yeojin Bae’s pencil skirts and tailored pants have become staples in many women’s wardrobes.

The Korean-born womenswear designer draws inspiration from her deep love for all things French, and her collections craft a dreamy dialogue of romance and femininity.

Before last weekend, your only ticket to this little Parisian collection could only be bought at Myer or by scouring the internet. Now, however, we have a little piece right in the heart of Collins Street with Yoejin Bae’s first pop-up store in Melbourne. For just one month you can visit and try on the effortlessly elegant and playful designs of her latest collection, YB J’aime.

Find beautiful prints plucked from the 1930s, available in a bright, vibrant colour scheme that includes luscious peach, yellow and pink, anchored by neutral spurts of navy and black. From fluid silks and vintage details to sleek, modern lines, these are designs that won’t date.

And with the Spring Racing Carnival galloping our way, what better timing for some French inspiration.
