aroline Blomst had a simple idea back in 2005. She would photograph the elegant youth on the streets of her hometown, Stockholm and post their pictures on her fashion blog. While blogs weren’t uncommon among the fashion set at the time, Blomst’s images captured the city’s imagination and it didn’t stop in Stockholm.

Seven years on and Blomst’s blog, Caroline’s Mode, is one of the most influential fashion sites in the world. Along with partner Daniel Troyse, Blomst has turned a keen eye for fashion into a bourgeoning online career, touring the world’s fashion festivals and taking on a role as the global ambassador for Rekorderlig Cider. Her work is revered in Europe for its acute observations and uncanny knack for finding extraordinary things in everyday people.

Earlier this year she hand picked a selection of her favourite images from Caroline’s Mode and created the hugely successful Stockholm Street Style exhibition, which makes its way to Melbourne this week. Opening today, it’s a must for fashion fans and aspiring bloggers alike.
