Puma Designer Moves

From our favourite local stores to the big retail chains, we're going through the racks to bring you our top picks in menswear.

By Dennis Marchese, 14th October 2010

A
didas have Yohji Yamamoto, Speedo have Comme des Garcons, and Puma have just released their latest collection designed by Hussein Chalayan. While some may be anti ‘designer masstige’, these collaborations do allow the aesthetic of international designers to be a little more attainable. And besides, they can be a bit of fun too. Chalayan first started working with Puma in 2008, and his limited edition ‘Urban Mobility’ collection is now available in Puma’s Chapel Street store. Described as ‘a carefully studied hybrid between style and high-tech function’, it’s a fairly small range with lots of black and shine. Apart from the novelty of an overcoat that doubles as a sleeping bag, our picks are the high top sneaker with liquid gloss sole and 90’s wet-look bomber.
