Obus Wall Project – Part Three with Mila Faranov

Obus’s Flinders Lane store will be channelling a Mexican summer, with a freshly painted wall and a new summer line to boot.

By Phillippa Finkemeyer, 9th August 2011

T
he next installment of the Obus Wall Project is almost upon us and this time around, local artist Mila Faranov will be bringing the wall to life. To match the bright Mexican vibes of the new Obus summer range, Faranov’s wall will be a celebration of the mood and vivacity of a Mexican carnival.

Known for her work with watercolours, Faranov carved out a career as a costume designer before directing herself towards the visual arts.

Shoppers and passersby are invited to come and see her he wall work live in store on Wednesday August 17, where it will be on display until late October.

The new wall launches on Thursday August 18 from 6pm–8pm at the Obus city store.
