This spring, Alpha60 present their very first line of shoes and sunglasses and both are available on their new online store.

W

hile Melbourne brand Alpha60 started making their luxury basics back in 2005, this season sees the arrival of their inaugural line of accessories, which has arrived in pairs – pairs of shoes and pairs of sunglasses.

The shoes come in four styles, each with a black and two-toned colour option. They feature simple lines that, when combined with smooth leather, come together to form a wonderful mergence of practicality and timelessness. The heeled pair – dubbed Valerie – are simple in design, but it is the attention to detail and extra touches (a suede toe strap and slightly winged strap at the ankle) that speak of Alpha60’s inimitable style concept. The collection also includes a pair of sandals, which take the form of closed-toe flats with cut-outs and mid-height heels, featuring thick and almost nautical knot details.

As well as shoes, Alpha60 are launching two styles of sunglasses. The first is rounded and basic in a thick plastic, while the second is more angular with edges reminiscent of highly coveted early Karen Walker designs. Each pair comes in two colour ways.

One half of the design duo, Georgie Cleary, has attributed Alpha60’s expansion to a curiosity and affinity for design, describing the brand’s latest additions as “a new and fun challenge”.

With the introduction of accessories to Alpha60 comes another development to bring you even closer to the collection: a recently launched online store, neatly packaged to showcase their summer 2013 line in all of its well structured glory.
