s hair director for Redken, Richard Kavanagh is one of Australia and New Zealand’s most acclaimed hair stylists. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Kavanagh travels to Europe regularly to work with the highly regarded Guido Palau on some of the world’s biggest fashion brands, including Prada, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton and Versace.

As an editorial stylist, Kavanagh’s work has graced the covers of Vogue, Vogue Italia, L’Uomo Vogue, Marie Claire, Oyster and many more. Always working closely with talented teams, Kavanagh has collaborated with photographers Derek Henderson, Steven Chee, Nick Hudson, Nick Leary and Lee Broomfield.

Perhaps his most rewarding work is as a session stylist for Redken, where he travels the globe constantly, touring and educating consumers and other industry types about technology in products and the latest developments in hair care and styling.

As an in-demand hair director, Kavanagh has styled both catwalk shows and advertising campaigns for Zambesi, Kate Sylvester, Arnsdorf and many more.
