Be transported back to a time of elegance by the seat of your panties with vintage inspired Hopeless Lingerie.

By Bree Johnson, 16th November 2010

G
abrielle Adimidis and her sister Dominique founded Hopeless Lingerie in 2008. Since then they have acquired quite the cult following, which is no surprise when you see the pieces. They use luxurious materials to create sensual, romantic lingerie and sleepwear that celebrates the female form.

The inspiration for her latest collection The Hunted came from 80’s horror movies Evil Dead (one and two). The result is hauntingly beautiful pieces that play with different textures such as velvet, bamboo jersey, chiffon and silk. And though this lingerie is somewhat impractical under clothes any lingerie designer will argue why – it isn't made to be covered.

Trained in garment construction and pattern-making Gabrielle is meticulous about the quality of her work. All pieces are hand sewn right here in Melbourne. There’s nothing hopeless about that.
