Handsom - Pastels and Pleats

From our favourite local stores to the big retail chains, we're going through the racks to bring you our top picks in menswear.

W
ith a summery palette of muted pastels and earthy hues, new brand Handsom offer a refreshing departure from the safety of monochromatic menswear. Designed in Australia by Brits Sam Rush and Henry Allum, the label was launched in 2009 with a focus on comfort, wearability and a relaxed aesthetic. Their soft tailoring certainly delivers, with stand-out shapes in shorts and chinos all at an accessible price point. Our pick are the dusty coloured shorts. With a slightly ‘paper bag’ cut emphasised with front pleating (yes, pleats are making a comeback), these shorts are summer perfect when rolled up to sit just above the knee. And if shorts aren’t your thing, Handsom have also cut a relaxed chino in the same soft cotton fabric. Both look great accented with a tan leather plaited belt and classic lace-ups.
