rom lush, moody luxury to outright decadence, Australian photographer Daniela Federici’s work is highly recognisable. In a career that has spanned fashion, beauty, celebrity portraiture and travel photography, Federici has shot everyone from Chloe Sevigny to Radiohead.

Launched into the spotlight of commercial photography by her iconic campaign for Guess? featuring a young Anna Nicole Smith, Federici’s sumptuous photographs and portraits have featured everywhere from Condé Nast Traveler to the covers of Vogue, Elle, Esquire and GQ. This year, Federici shot Melissa George for the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival's 2011 creative campaign and has returned to Melbourne for the festival.

The retrospective exhibition runs from Tuesday 14 March (tonight) until 9 April at the Sophie Gannon Gallery in Richmond and features more than 30 images spanning her career from early campaigns to recent travel photographs from India.
