W
hen a label promises to let your personal style resonate, it’s got to be a winner. That old adage, ‘never let the clothes wear you’ rings true for Bassike and their range of simple wardrobe staples. Designed by friends Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan, the brand was born from a desire to fill a gap in the market for premium cotton jersey separates. Top of our list are the tees - while they might look basic, their difference lies in an interesting cut and organic cotton fibres creating a soft drape. Details like rolled hems and raw edges along with an ‘Australian made’ tag, add to their appeal. They’re one of those items you can throw on crinkles and all, and still look great. Available in colours every wardrobe can’t get enough of - black, white, khaki, and marle grey - grab yourself at least one.
