Swedish futurist artist, Axel Willner, goes under many guises (Lars Blek, Cordouan and James Larsson) but he’s most commonly known for his three piece band, The Field. Instantly signed on to German indie label Kompkat back in 2005, Willner has combined ambient and techno, drawn comparisons with ‘My Bloody Valentine’ and Shoegaze. Touring internationally with LCD Soundsystem and The Juan MacLean, this is Willner's first time performing to a Melbourne audience.
