El Guincho is the recording alias of Spanish musician Pablo Díaz-Reixa, who tours Australia with his three piece band direct from Barcelona. His eclectic style is a fusion of Afrobeat percussion and psych tropicalia, drawing comparisons to fellow samplers Animal Collective. El Guincho's latest album Pop Negro uses Spanish chanting and infectious tribal beats, making it impossible not to enjoy.
